I asked a few Twentysomethings this question: If you could re-live your freshman year in college, what would you do different?
The individuals I asked are all in their 20’s. They are married and support themselves financially. Some of them are already parents
Here are the top five “College freshman year do-overs.”
- I would focus on my basics. Get the basics out of the way. I can take classes I really like later.
- I would focus on getting straight 100s in all my classes. Grades are important for academic advancement.
- I would get a job that could offer me real world professional experience.
- I would save, save, save. Living at home is one way to save $$.
- I would develop personal relationships that could lead to professional relationships. I would also look for a mentor in my field of interest.
(Here’s #6. It’s an added bonus)
- Forget a B.A. Get a B.S. applicable in the Oil Industry.
