College transition 101
Two and a-half weeks until Thanksgiving. Wow! Time to do a little reality check. Most mid-terms are done and major papers or projects will be due at the end of the month.
Here are three things to do before Thanksgiving.
- Find out where you stand grade-wise in each class.
- Make a list of all the assignments for each class.
- Write the grades you have earned so far.
- This should give you a good idea of your semester average so far.
- This will also show you which assignments or exams (2 maybe 3 at the most) are left to be completed before finals.
- Put all assignments yet to be completed on the calendar.
- Make a time table to complete each project or paper.
- Give yourself mini-deadlines to complete sections of your assignment.
- Go see your professor in their office to discuss your paper/project to make sure you are on the right track.
- Be realistic about Thanksgiving break.
- Try to get as much school work done before Thanksgiving break.
- Make time for with family and friends.
