We have a child that tests extremely well and has a very high IQ. However, we saw her struggling through school. Over the years our daughter’s grades began to slip further and further behind. We observed her studying skills and organization skills were truly lacking. Ruth was able to follow our daughter from the beginning to the end of an entire semester. Together they reviewed her daily and weekly work assignments. She became accountable to herself for deadlines and learned how to prioritize coursework and studying. The weekly meetings gave our daughter the opportunity to review her homework assignments, learn how to properly navigate her time and gave her the foundation to manage a calendar. The result of the semester spent with Ruth was a tremendous improvement in class grades, her confidence going into tests was boosted and her overall GPA was greatly improved. I am happy to announce that she has started her first semester of her senior year ahead of the curve and we feel confident that she will find success in college based on the tools she learned from Ruth!

“As a college freshman, Dr. Bomar helped me most with time management. I am dyslexic and she taught me how to study and prepare for college work and exams. She worked with me fall and spring semester and my grades continued to improve. She helped me obtain my academic goals.”

“Both our children had the opportunity to work with Dr. Bomar as their academic coach their freshman year of college. While they both graduated from high school with honors, they each found there is a learning curve in studying and preparing for college work. We discovered our daughter had a learning disability her freshman year of college. Dr. Bomar taught her skills to study around that challenge. Her grades improved every semester. She is a graduate of Texas Christian University and successfully employed in her career. Our son, worked with Dr. Bomar his freshman year of college and she taught him time management skills. His grades continue to improve as well.

I would and I have had the opportunity to recommend Dr. Bomar to other parents of college students. As parents, we felt utilizing Dr. Bomar was a good investment in our children’s college education and their ultimate success!”

Ruth began coaching C. at the end of her 8th grade school year. Within 2 weeks C.’s English quiz grades were in the 90’s. Her next Spanish test grade rose to A/B scores. Ruth helped C. make connections and see the symbolism of the literature the class was covering. My daughter was able to end the year feeling strong and good about herself. (Mother of 8th grader)

Ruth began coaching my daughter after the first progress reports first semester. M.’s grades were in the 70’s and 60’s. By Christmas break M.’s average in Chemistry was 86 and her Algebra average was 82. Ruth equipped my student with the tools for learning. Now she can face next semester and know what to do. (Mother of high school Sophomore)

I brought M. to Ruth when other tutoring avenues did not give us the results we were looking for. Ruth’s patience and kindness was what our student needed to finish course work and graduate high school. (Father of a high school senior)

I contracted Ruth to help our student transition into rigors of college life. Ruth life coaching emphasis is helping our daughter navigate the hurdles of transitioning into young adulthood. She is coaching her to coordinate life, socially, academically and personally. (Mother of a college freshman)

We are so blessed beyond measure that she met you and worked with you this semester. She made the comment to me that when she meets with you, she just wants to leave and go study. You bring learning to life! (Mother of a college freshman)

I have a better understanding of what productive studying is. I have seen an improvement with my time management skills. Now I am more comfortable studying, if that makes sense. I am happier since meeting with you. Just talking to someone about my week and studying and overall life I have really found helpful. When I would leave our sessions I wanted to study because I loved our time. (College freshman)

I would like to thank you so so so so so much for helping me this semester. My GPA went way up. It is still low cumulative, but seeing how it did improve from last semester makes me really excited. Thank you for all you helped me with from sending teachers emails, to reading out loud, and working on my time management skills. I looked forward to our meetings every week because I always left in a good mood. (College freshman whose semester GPA went from 1.68-2.83 in one semester)

I really appreciate your professionalism and would recommend you to another parent in a heartbeat! Thank you again for all of your help. (Mother of a recent college grad)
